Jinan

Jinan, capital of Shandong Province on China's east coast, is the province's political, economic and cultural centre. Located in the mid-western part of Shandong Province, Jinan is also called "the city of springs", there are at least seventy-two famous springs here-according to an ancient description of the city, "springs and willows are found in every courtyard." To the south of Jinan lies Mount Tai which is in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. To the north lies the cradle of Chinese civilisation - The yellow River.

    Check your facts--their giant panda, Quan Quan, died from exposure to toxic gas in July of 2010. She has not been replaced and the Panda Hall stands empty.
